well today's been a rather average day, none of the usual christmas parties because both my parents are sick. we had a fantastic dinner last night! at crystal jade in holland v. the food was fab, i had lamian and xiaolongbao and a whole lot of other delicious stuff. and yesterday afternoon i was at my dad's friend's house. had lunch there! there were two other kids there, a boy and a girl both around my age so we crowded around the com and played LF2 all afternoon.
it was fun!
yay and i must thank my parents for my wonderful christmas present!!! a new bag and two crisp clean fifty dollar notes! xD as well as the pretty bauble jiaying did for me, it's hanging on the tree now. i also have to thank all the wonderful wonderful people who sent me christmas cards/ecards/ smses!! THANK YOU!
oh yeah and i finished a murder mystery today! 'peril at end house' by agatha christie. quite an entertaining read, the solution was interesting but somewhat predictable in the sense that agatha christie always makes the least expected one the criminal so after you've read a few books you tend to expect the least expected one (hope i'm not being too confusing here) and you usually turn out to be right. but it was fun to read anyways. ((: especially when all those confusing bits of information actually fit together to give you the whole picture
and the more i think about my commonwealth essay, the more dissatisfied i get with it. i think i'm going to rewrite it. ugh. hope it turns out better this time.
and next week onwards is going to be fun! cos i'm finally going on holiday! 6 days in taiwan, then one day home on the 2nd and then back to school on the 3rd! i must admit i am looking forward to going back to school and seeing everyone again. (:

hm i just came back from Parkway Parade! had a nice dinner there, though i ended up so full i thought i might puke!
then my mum had to go buy my bro's 'Santa' present, and i had to take him somewhere else so he wouldnt see. i suggested i take him to gramophone and then i gave my mum a very 'innocent' (but rather cheesy) smile and asked her if i could buy the narnia soundtrack and surprisingly she said YES! YAY. so i got it, this super cool edition with a 3d cover. its really nice!

the sec1 orientation today was kind of fun! apart from the fact that i overslept. heheh. i promised pui i'd meet her at kent ridge to take the 6.45 bus but when i woke up at 6.10 i felt like dying so i 'decided to sleep another 5 min' and next thing i knew, it was 7.15 and marissa was calling me asking where i was. SORRY, PUI and CONDOM! im an arse. bleh. so when i reached sch i went to the audi and joined condom and pui in ushering! that was fine. (: time really flies and its so weird that we're already sec 3s. i feel old. :(
NARNIA rocks! it was really good. esp watching it with the class! i liked EDMUND! everyone else is cool too, though! i think mr tumnus is cute.

today jiaying came over and WROTE CHRISTMAS CARDS. that was totally like boring so i made her stop after the third card haha. then she looked at the star wars 1, 4,5 and 6 scripts and she apparently liked the 'i am your father part' alot haha. then we watched abit of RotS and she thought it was very sad. i think the fight scene is very nice
you know what? today my mum opened this cabinet and discovered a ROTTEN WATERMELON! and it was leaking yellow color juice (FYI it was a red watermelon) and all. and even though fresh watermelon smells so nice and fresh i tell you rotten water melon totally STINKS so much you want to puke. ugh. the stench is still hanging all over the house, its so disgusting.

i changed tagboards! cos i like the cbox color scheme. didnt feel like junking my old tagboard so i chucked it somewhere in the archives.
im not gonna touch my commonwealth essay anymore! last night i said i wouldnt but in the end i stayed up to edit it till about 1 and now it has exactly 1500 words and im not going to edit anymore, i think. it sucks though. was reading my old posts, i think i sounded rather different then.. hm bet if i read everyone's blog entries from at least a year back there would've been a LOT of difference. we've all changed (:

and even though it sucks, i dont think i ever want to touch it again.
If the word limit is what i remember it to be (1500 words) i am currently 119 words over limit and not caring. i dont know what to edit out. so i shall just resign myself to a lousy mark and let it be. though i HAD hoped that this essay would be (if even slightly) better than all the other essays i've written but seriously i have a MINDBLOCK! (cool word for this: mogigraphia.. haha)
I FINISHED THE BELL JAR AND THE BONESETTER'S DAUGHTER AND THE CATCHER IN THE RYE(for the second time)! NOW I SHALL FINISH BELOVED AS WELL AS THE REMAINS OF THE DAY!
i feel as though i've read so much. heh heh. most of the time i read half the book get carried away with something else and leave it sitting there for a very long time before i pick it up again and then i have to start again. BLeh.

anyways!
im back! from camp and malacca etc.
camp was tiring really tiring.i felt like dying yesterday. but 'twas fun! xD except i left my tooth brush and towel and other stuff in school. ugh. im an idiot.
HCISO+NYSE combined concert tomorrow! feel kinda excited.
its 3 weeks till school reopens again. (and the hols are OVER) time sure does fly! im kinda looking forward to going back to school again, though i'll really miss 203. actually, i already do.
going on holiday again! in latelate december. 27th till 1jan. to taiwan! jiasin's going to taiwan too, but next week. we'll be going to almost the same places. (:

I happened to be flipping through 'poems deep and dangerous' and happened to read the last poem on the last page (because it was short) and i liked it very much! In fact, from what i've seen of the whole book, it's fantastic!

DECEMBER THIRD! is, as i have already said, my brother's birthday. and as a 'birthday treat' for my bro we will (contrary to the excuse my mother gave my brother's friend's mother) not be spending it at home, instead we'll be driving to Malacca! staying there for one night and then driving back. i'm pretty excited, cos malacca sounds pretty fun and i want to check out the peranakan stuff there! If there's anyone who wants me to get them anything from Malacca, feel free to let me know!
My parents are out at the money changer's now, i think. They're also going to check out this travel package for a trip to taiwan! (i love the night markets in taipei!). Later when they come back we'll be going down to my b ro's school with a cake so he can celebrate his birthday there. x)
I promised my mum i'd sweep the floor so i'd better go do it now.
