HELLO
happy friday.
read something quite interesting today, here it is!
A Circle of Compassion
Albert Einstein
A human being is a part of the whole that we call the universe, a part limited in time and space. And yet we experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical illusion of our consciousness. This illusion is a prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for only the few people nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living beings and all of nature.
anyways interclass chinese debates competition next week, good luck to the 2/3 team! i think our class team is really good so i cant wait to watch them in action!
its rachel's bdae this sunday so here's an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her!
WORD OF THE DAY: insouciant (in-SOO-see-uhnt) : Happily unconcerned; carefree; nonchalant.
got that from wordsmith's a word a day
think it's useful but the problem is that every word goes in my head one day and comes out the next. very saddening.
oh yes and you might be interested to know that watermelons are 92% water and that they are cousins of the cucumber!
